My name is Alexis and this my 11 year old dog Darla. She has always played a big part in my life and provided love unconditionally. When I moved back here to my hometown Brownsville, Texas my eyes were astonished to see plethoras of dogs out in the streets. I asked myself the question, why had I not noticed this before? Knowing the love and real connection my dog Darla and I have, as well as many other dog owners and dogs do, how could I pass by these innocent street dogs every day and know they do not have the option. I NEED to do something. This is where Darla's Pawsitive Pathways came to mind!
Darla's Pawsitive Pathways is dedicated to creating a compassionate and sustainable solution for street dogs and low income dog families in need. Darla's Pawsitive Pathways mission is to FEED, VACCINATE, and SPAY/NEUTER. Through these pathways, we aim to transform the lives of street dogs, one paw at a time. We want to foster a community where every furry friend in Brownsville, Texas has the opportunity for a healthy and happy life.
Street feeding goes beyond providing food; it plays a crucial role in promoting a compassionate community, enhancing the welfare of stray animals, and creating a sense of safety and compassion between humans and their four-legged neighbors.
Every pup out there deserves a chance to live a happy and healthy life. Providing vaccinations for street dogs allows them to stand a fighting chance out on the road.
Not only do street dog births happen very often, but almost all of the time those new born pups will end up leaving the world too soon due to lack of resources out in the street. Spaying and Neutering is how we can solve the problem.
